Trump Scheduled for Annual Medical Checkup at Walter Reed
(MENAFN) The White House announced that US President Donald Trump will undergo his annual physical examination on May 26 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, according to reports.
Officials said the visit will include routine medical and dental evaluations as part of standard preventive care. The president is also expected to spend time with military personnel and hospital staff during the visit, in recognition of their service.
At 79 years old, Trump has recently faced increased public attention regarding his health, including visible bruising on his hands and occasional swelling in his legs. The White House has previously attributed these observations to routine aspirin use and frequent handshaking associated with his duties, as well as a condition identified by doctors as chronic venous insufficiency.
He last visited a dentist earlier in the month during a trip to Florida. In addition, Trump previously disclosed undergoing advanced medical imaging last year, later clarifying the procedure as a CT scan, which drew further public scrutiny due to limited details about the reason for the test.
Trump is expected to turn 80 in June, and he is already the oldest US president to take office at the time of his inauguration in January 2025.
