According to the report, Trump has intensified pressure on Cuba’s leadership, contributing to growing speculation that earlier threats of intervention in the Caribbean nation may not be merely rhetorical.
The situation, as described in the report, would represent the most serious confrontation between the United States and Cuba since the 1962 missile crisis, and a significant expansion of Trump’s broader approach toward asserting US influence in the Western Hemisphere.
