Israel Eases Restrictions Across Country After US-Iran Truce

(MENAFN) Israel announced on Wednesday that it has lifted nationwide restrictions following the recent ceasefire between the United States and Iran, though measures will remain in effect in northern regions near the Lebanese border, the occupied Golan Heights, and coastal parts of Haifa.

According to reports, Israel’s Home Front Command said the decision came after a situational assessment and would take effect at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).

The command indicated that in-person education and the reopening of workplaces would resume across most of the country. However, in northern areas, schools will operate only in bomb shelters, and workplaces may continue functioning provided they are close to shelter facilities. Gatherings in these regions will be limited to 200 people indoors and 50 people outdoors.

In the rest of Israel, nearly all restrictions have been removed, allowing schools to fully reopen and businesses to return to regular operations.

Earlier, nationwide restrictions had been imposed amid heightened tensions with Iran. Some measures were eased on March 5 due to concerns over the economic impact, but full resumption of daily life had been delayed until the ceasefire provided a more stable security situation.
