Turkish, Chinese Foreign Ministers Discuss Israel-Iran Tensions, Gaza Aid

(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a phone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday, during which they addressed the growing conflict between Israel and Iran and the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, according to sources from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

During the call, the two diplomats examined unfolding regional tensions and emphasized the need for diplomatic initiatives to ease the friction between Israel and Iran.

Fidan strongly criticized the deteriorating conditions in Gaza and denounced what he described as an ongoing act of genocide by Israel, the ministry sources said.

Both sides reiterated their backing for a two-state framework as the sole sustainable resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The discussion also included a review of bilateral relations, where both ministers voiced their intent to deepen cooperation, especially in sectors like trade and economic investment.
